Founded on a passion for the arts and a commitment to excellence, our school has grown into a cherished institution where students from Wellingborough, Northampton, Kettering, and surrounding villages come to home their skills, develop their technique, find their voice, and express their creativity all in our own purpose built dance studios with reception area.

The backbone of Kilburn School Of Dance is our team of highly qualified and experienced teachers and examiners. Many of our instructors have illustrious backgrounds, including alumni of prestigious West End theatres. Their expertise and passion for teaching are evident in every class, as they work tirelessly to guide, inspire, and support our students. Our teachers are not just educators; they are mentors who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students.
Amanda Wilkins

Amanda has been Principal to the Kilburn School of Dance in Wellingborough since 1989. Teaching ISTD Classical Greek, Modern, National and RAD Ballet and examines Classical Greek. This genre is her passion – encouraging musicality, expression and fluidity. She is a committee member for this style of dance and assists in promoting it around the country. She loves her job and aims that each individual reach their personal best in every form of dance. In recent years she has helped pupils achieve success in class, exams, competitions, ISTD Bursary Awards, Royal Ballet Associates, Dance World Cup and the Royal Albert Hall to name but a few!
Our purpose-built dance school is designed to inspire and facilitate learning. With three spacious studios, male and female dressing areas, and a welcoming reception area, our facilities are a testament to our commitment to providing the best learning environment for our students. Each studio is equipped to cater to the diverse needs of our dance and singing classes, ensuring a safe, comfortable and inspiring space for learning.
We take great pride in the legacy of our alumni. Many of our past pupils have gone on to achieve remarkable success, gracing stages in the West End and other renowned theatres around the UK and worldwide..
